Have a thoughtful Memorial Day
Plan ahead for a safe and thoughtful Memorial Day Weekend.
In downtown Naperville, the annual Memorial Day Parade steps off at 10:30AM beginning at Ewing Street along Jackson Avenue west to Washington Street, north to Benton Avenue, east to Court Street and south to Central Park. The staging area is along Jackson near Centennial Beach. Spectators are encouraged to line the streets beginning east of Ewing at Jackson in order to experience all the marching bands.
The parade will be followed by the 45-minute Memorial Day Observance that begins at 12:15PM in Central Park, located at 104 E Benton Ave., just north of Jefferson Ave.
When the stage door goes up in Central Park on Memorial Day, park benches fill with patrons and the community pays tribute with music and oratory to the sacrifices of military families who served in the name of freedom.
