Comedian Adam Carolla to explain the America in his head

-

Update May 23, 2014 / Tonight Adam Carolla enlightened a large appreciative audience with his thoughts about bullying, American views, Texas football, TSA and the stuff travelers bring on planes, including yoga mats!  He also talked about teaching self-reliance to his children. This PN publisher/editor who recently became familiar with the witty man learned that her children have been following his quips and satire since the 1990s.

Comedian/Writer Adam Carolla and Sun Times Film Critic Richard Roeper entertained onstage at Pfeiffer Hall for Anderson’s Bookshops.

After the interview by Roeper, Carolla signed copies of his latest book, President Me, in the lobby of Pfeiffer Hall. You had to be there for some of the irony of it all.

With good humor, Adam Carolla signed copies of his latest book and exchanged info with his fans—some from as far a Schaumburg.

About the book

My fellow Americans, please imagine a world where New York Times bestselling author, comedian, actor, television, and podcast host Adam Carolla is the President of the United States.

Podcast king Adam Carolla first shared his unique, but always funny world view in his New York Times bestseller In Fifty Years We’ll All Be Chicks – but he’s not done.

In President Me, Carolla shares his vision for a different, better America free from big issues like big government down to small problems like hotel alarm clock placement. Running on an anti-narcissism platform, President Carolla calls for a return to the values of an earlier time when stew and casserole were on every dinner table and there were no “service dogs” on airplanes. President Me hits right at the heart of what makes our country really annoying, and offers a plan to make all of our lives, but mostly Adam’s, much better.

Adam Carolla is the author of the New York Times bestsellers In Fifty Years We’ll All Be Chicks and Not Taco Bell Material, as well as a radio and television host, comedian, and actor. Carolla is well known as the cohost of the syndicated radio and MTV show Loveline and the co-creator and star of The Man Show and Crank Yankers. He currently hosts Catch a Contractor and The Adam Carolla Show, which is the Guinness World Record holder for Most Downloaded Podcast and is available on iTunes and AdamCarolla.com.

Anderson’s Bookshops specialize in book sales, author events, booksignings, and building a sense of community, learning and fun. Based in downtown Naperville, the store has grown with the community for six generations.  A second location is also open in downtown Downers Grove, at 5112 Main Street (630)-963-2665.  A gift shop, Anderson’s Two-Doors East, at 111 W. Jefferson Ave., in Naperville, opened in the fall of 2009.

An ombudsman is Scandinavian in origin dating back to Viking times; and refers to a community representative; usually acting independently on behalf of an organization, body of elected officials, or civic group. Thanks Scandinavia for inventing ombudsman.
